A collective due diligence statement is a single due diligence statement that bundles several batches or shipments instead of requiring one statement per batch. The associated reference number can then be used multiple times.
This reduces administrative effort considerably for businesses with recurring, similar deliveries from the same supplier.
When is a collective statement useful?
It is helpful where you regularly receive comparable products from the same source. Instead of recording each shipment individually, the relevant deliveries are covered by one statement – for example as a periodic report.
How does it work?
- Combine comparable deliveries into a single due diligence statement
- The statement receives one reference number
- This reference number can be referenced for each of the covered deliveries
What stays the same?
The underlying duties do not change: the data, the deforestation-free check and the documentation must still be complete. The collective statement only changes how the statement is bundled, not the substance of the obligation.
In short: A collective DDS bundles many deliveries into one statement and one reference number – less paperwork, the same diligence.
