Anyone who has booked in trunks at goods-in on a Monday morning knows what batch, sawn timber, stakes and delivery note mean in practice.
The EU Deforestation Regulation is coming. We tackle it for you. Suppliers online, due diligence statement in one click, everything ready for the authority – built for forest owners, forestry contractors, sawmills, timber trade, joiners, landscaping and importers.

Compliance Compass is founded by a team that knows the industry. Sawmill and timber trade sit at the table – and that shapes every click in this software.
Anyone who has booked in trunks at goods-in on a Monday morning knows what batch, sawn timber, stakes and delivery note mean in practice.
Orders, mill partners, multilingual suppliers, customs and authorities – that too is day-to-day business in the team, not textbook material.
Paperwork must not slow the business down – whether sawmill, timber trade, joinery or landscaping. The software is built to fit into real workflows, not the other way round.
The new regulation demands a lot. We make sure you have little to do with it.
A due diligence statement used to take a day. With us, it is a few clicks. Your suppliers fill in their data themselves – you only review.
If an authority comes for an inspection, you print the file with one click. Stored safely for five years – without binders and without Excel chaos.
Your accounting, your ERP – everything stays as it is. We sit alongside and take the data via Excel or with one click.
Pick your industry and see immediately what the EUDR requires from you – and which package fits.
Instead of a months-long consulting project: a few weeks, then it runs on its own.
Send us your supplier list – via Excel or straight from your system. We take care of the rest.
Your suppliers get a link and enter origin and certificates themselves. You keep the overview on one page.
The due diligence statement is generated and sent to the authority automatically. You only confirm with one click.
Everything is stored, automated, traceable. On inspection, you simply print the file.
Only what you actually use – explained plainly, without tech jargon.
Ideally your suppliers enter origin and certificates online themselves. If they do not, you enter the data yourself – from an invoice or photo, the system reads the key fields on its own. You stay able to act either way.
Does the timber really come from the stated forest? We automatically compare location and date with a satellite check.
Green, amber, red. At a glance you see whether a delivery is fine – and what to do if not.
The due diligence statement is filled automatically from your data and submitted directly via TRACES NT – the official EU system – to the responsible authority.
Permits, invoices, certificates – just upload or photograph. We read the key data automatically.
Tamper-evident storage with timestamp and version history – audit-ready to authority standards. Available for five years, exportable as PDF in one click.
How the software looks day to day: dashboard, suppliers, documents and the authority file.

Our software is built where timber is processed and sawn – in practice. This is where we build and test it, day in, day out.

World Wide Wood is a timber trader serving private and commercial customers in Germany, France, the Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, Denmark and Luxembourg. Oak, larch, spruce, black locust – all direct from the mill partner. The case shows that one role is not enough: for deliveries inside the EU, World Wide Wood is a trader and submits no statement of its own. Exporting goods already covered by a declaration does not change that: there the obligations of a downstream operator apply, and at customs a TARIC code replaces the reference number. A statement of its own only arises where World Wide Wood places goods on the market for the first time – when buying from outside the EU, for instance. The role attaches to the flow of goods, not to the company – both must be modelled in parallel.
World Wide Wood uses the Pro package. The entire mill-partner network maintains its forestry permits and geo coordinates itself through the online portal – in German, French, English and Danish. For each order the system recognises which role applies: trading and exporting goods already covered by a declaration need documentation only, first placing generates the due diligence statement automatically. The traffic light shows at any time where data for that is still missing.
Holzhandel Häberlein is a family-run sawmill with its own stake production in the Erzgebirge mountains. The timber comes from the forests around Leipzig and the Erzgebirge; deliveries go nationwide. This is exactly where the December 2025 amendment changes things: anyone processing regional roundwood that has already been placed on the market is a downstream operator (Art. 2(15b)) – it is the forest owner, not the sawmill, who places it on the market first. Häberlein therefore needs no own due diligence statement and no risk assessment. What remains is collecting the information and keeping it for five years – traceability through processing is the real task.
Häberlein uses the Pro package. Every oak log is captured at intake – location, forestry permit, batch. Where the forest owner is an operator themselves, the system takes over their reference or identification number; where they are not, the chain ends there (first touch, Art. 4(7)). The batch is tracked through processing into sawn timber and stakes. Only when Häberlein itself buys from a non-EU country does a statement of its own arise. The family stays in day-to-day business, not in paperwork.

We are not consultants. We come from timber trade and from software at the same time.
Compliance Compass is already running for other obligations at businesses today. We are not starting from scratch – the foundation is there.
Our founding team brings experience from sawmills and the timber trade. We speak the language of goods-in, batch and delivery note – we understand how it works in practice.
Servers in German data centres, European support, EU contracts. No data in the US. No call centre in the Philippines.
Personal walk-through in 30 minutes – we go through your case: role, obligations, process. Start as a pilot partner if you like.
